Restricted Items for China-to-Pakistan Air Cargo

Cargo screening specialist reviewing sealed cartons for restricted-item eligibility before air transport

Direct answer: Restricted items for China-to-Pakistan air cargo require product-specific checks. Some goods cannot be shipped, while others require prior review, special packaging, safety documents, permits, or carrier approval. Do not rely on a generic online list: acceptance depends on the exact product, ingredients, battery specification, quantity, packaging, flight operator, and current Chinese and Pakistani rules.

Mohsin Air Cargo currently provides cargo services from China to Pakistan. Before you buy or send any sensitive product to our China handling point, share its product name, photographs, quantity, packaging details, and supporting documents with our team on WhatsApp at +92 348 1978947.

What is the difference between prohibited, restricted, and dangerous goods?

Classification What it means What the shipper should do
Prohibited The product is unlawful, unsafe, or outside our service acceptance and cannot be shipped. Do not purchase or send it to the warehouse.
Restricted or conditional The product may be accepted only after reviewing its specifications, documents, quantity, route, and handling requirements. Request written confirmation before purchase or dispatch.
Dangerous goods The product presents a transport hazard and may fall under formal air-transport classification, packing, marking, labelling, and documentation rules. Provide accurate technical information and use an appropriately approved shipping process.

A product being legal to buy does not automatically make it acceptable on an aircraft. Air transport rules and operator restrictions can be stricter than ordinary sale or road-transport rules.

Which items are normally not accepted?

Mohsin Air Cargo does not accept illegal goods, weapons, ammunition, explosives, narcotics, or products prohibited by the relevant authorities. We may also decline any shipment that is incorrectly declared, lacks required evidence, cannot be safely handled, or is not accepted by the operating carrier.

This is not an exhaustive legal list. Product controls and carrier rules change, and customs may inspect or detain goods even when a forwarder has conducted an initial review.

Which restricted items require review before shipping?

Lithium batteries and power banks

Loose batteries, power banks, and equipment containing lithium cells require careful classification. The battery type, watt-hour rating or lithium content, cell configuration, condition, quantity, test evidence, and packaging can affect acceptance. Read our detailed guide to shipping lithium batteries from China to Pakistan.

Perfume, cosmetics, aerosols, and liquids

Perfume may contain flammable alcohol, aerosols may be pressurised, and cosmetics can contain regulated ingredients or liquids. Ingredient details, an MSDS or SDS when relevant, leak-resistant packaging, and carrier approval may be required. See our perfume and cosmetics shipping guide.

Chemicals, powders, adhesives, and paints

These products cannot be assessed accurately from a short marketplace title. Their composition, flash point, hazard classification, intended use, and safety documentation may determine whether air transport is possible.

Magnets and magnetised equipment

Strong magnets or equipment that produces a magnetic field may need testing, shielding, or operator review because magnetic interference is an aviation safety concern.

Medicines, supplements, food, and medical products

These products may be subject to import permissions, registration, labelling, temperature control, shelf-life, or other regulatory requirements. A commercial invoice alone does not prove import eligibility.

Branded, replica, and intellectual-property-sensitive goods

Counterfeit or unauthorised goods can be detained or seized. For genuine branded goods, keep supplier invoices and proof of authorisation where applicable. Mohsin Air Cargo does not treat a supplier’s marketplace listing as proof of authenticity.

Radio, communication, surveillance, and used equipment

Some radio-frequency products, drones, surveillance devices, medical devices, and used machinery may require permits, condition checks, decontamination evidence, or other approvals. Review must take place before the goods are sent.

How to check a product before buying it

  1. Identify the exact product. Send the full name, model, intended use, composition, and clear photographs.
  2. Disclose batteries, liquids, powders, gases, magnets, chemicals, and branded content. Never describe a sensitive product only as “accessories” or “samples.”
  3. Confirm quantity and packaging. Acceptance can differ between one sample and a commercial consignment.
  4. Collect technical evidence. This may include an SDS/MSDS, battery test summary, specification sheet, ingredient list, invoice, packing list, or licence.
  5. Request a pre-shipment review. Contact Mohsin Air Cargo before the supplier dispatches the goods.
  6. Wait for confirmation. A quotation is not the same as final carrier or customs acceptance.

What documents may be required?

  • Commercial invoice and accurate packing list
  • Product specification sheet or ingredient list
  • Safety Data Sheet (SDS/MSDS) for relevant substances
  • UN 38.3 test summary or battery information when applicable
  • Brand authorisation or proof of genuine purchase when relevant
  • Import permit, registration, or no-objection documentation for controlled goods
  • Any declaration, label, mark, or packaging evidence requested for the shipment

Document requirements depend on the product and do not replace assessment by customs, the airline, or another competent authority. Our Pakistan customs-clearance guide explains the broader clearance process.

How restrictions affect price and delivery time

Mohsin Air Cargo’s indicative China-to-Pakistan rate range is PKR 2,750–20,000 per kg. This is not a fixed quote. Sensitive or regulated cargo may cost more because of classification, special packaging, documentation, screening, airline acceptance, chargeable weight, route, and customs requirements.

Our normal delivery target is 7–14 days for eligible cargo after the required information and handling conditions are satisfied. Product review, permits, carrier approval, inspections, weather, flight availability, or customs action can extend the timeline. Prohibited cargo will not be carried at any price.

Frequently asked questions

Can I ship a power bank from China to Pakistan?

Possibly, but not through every service. Power banks are treated as lithium batteries rather than ordinary accessories. Share their chemistry, capacity, test documentation, quantity, and packaging for review before purchase.

Can I ship perfume or liquid cosmetics?

Some products may be accepted conditionally, while others may not be suitable for the available air service. The exact formulation, alcohol or aerosol content, quantity, packaging, and safety documents must be reviewed first.

Does an MSDS guarantee acceptance?

No. An SDS/MSDS helps identify hazards, but acceptance still depends on accurate classification, packaging, documents, route, operator policy, and applicable law.

What happens if a supplier hides a battery or liquid?

Undeclared goods can be rejected, delayed, returned, detained, or subject to additional cost and enforcement action. Tell both the supplier and our team to declare the contents accurately.

Can Mohsin Air Cargo confirm customs legality?

We can conduct an operational pre-check and explain documents commonly requested, but the relevant authorities make the final legal and customs decisions. Obtain specialist or official advice when the product is controlled or the legal position is uncertain.

Request a product eligibility review

Send the product link, photographs, specifications, quantity, supplier location, battery or chemical details, and available documents to Mohsin Air Cargo on WhatsApp at +92 348 1978947. We will review whether the product fits our current China-to-Pakistan service and explain the next practical step.
